WHY USE THE REACH AND WASH CLEANING METHOD?

It’s a chemical free cleaning method! We do not use any solutions or additives to the water used to clean your windows. In fact, we take things away…

Many people wonder how washing the windows with just water can really get them clean. However it is a common misconception that the water used by the reach and was system is straight from the tap….. it is not! Even though tap water has been treated by the local water supplier to be at a drinkable level, it still contains many minerals and particles. When tested with a ph reader, the water can often test to 200 parts per million. If just tap water alone was used to clean the windows, it would leave behind water droplets that would dry into cloudy coloured spots on the glass.

The water used in our system is filtered before use to remove these particles. Our system has an in-built water quality tester and so we regularly take measurements to ensure it remains completely pure and ready for cleaning use. We also ensure that the filters used within the system are regularly changed to ensure they are properly filtering the water. Here is an example of the difference between filters when they are replaced. Other industries are recognising the benefits of cleaning with purified water, such as valeters.

By not using any chemicals in the process, it means the cleaning method does not leave behind any residual product that dirt and dust could stick to. We use soft bristled brush heads that ensure that corners are thoroughly cleaned each time, but don’t cause any damage to the glass itself.

The reach and wash cleaning system also allows us to clean your windows, gutters and fascias from ground floor level. This prevents the risk of falls from height from a ladder and potentially causing damage to your property as a result of a fall. We’re also fully insured so you can have peace of mind as we clean on your property.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often do you come round?

We typically clean our customers’ windows every 4 weeks, but depending on needs and circumstances, we can arrange an alternative schedule.

Do you always clean my windows on the same day each month?

We do aim to clean your windows every 4 weeks, however the Great British weather can be very unpredictable! We can be delayed by the weather which can affect scheduling from time to time, but we will always try to let you know. Did you know you can request a text message to be sent to you the night before? Then you’ll know precisely when we’re going to clean your windows.

How much do you charge?

This varies depending on the size of your dwelling, whether you have an extension or conservatory that needs cleaning and the number of windows and doors you have. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to provide an accurate price for you.

How do I pay you?

We offer a range of payment methods. You can pay by cash or card on the day, or if you’re not home we will leave a payment slip with our bank details on for you to pay online.

Do you cover my area?

We typically cover the following areas: Eston, Normanby, Ormesby, Acklam, Middlesbrough, Nunthorpe and Guisborough. Fill in our contact form with your requirements and we’ll let you know if we cover your area. If we don’t, we usually do know a reputable window cleaner who does cover that area so we can put you in touch with them.

Who will clean my windows?

Unlike many window cleaning companies, we are a small and friendly team of 3! So it will either be Jake, Heidi or Chris who will clean your windows. It would only be in exceptional circumstances that someone else would clean your windows e.g. we’re on holiday and have asked a reliable window cleaner to carry out our work for us.

Do I need to be home when you clean the windows?

No, we’re happy to clean your windows if you’re not home. We can text you the night before we visit so that you know we’ll be coming and can leave any locked gates accessible for us to clean the back of your house. If you’re not home we will leave a slip stating that we’ve cleaned your windows and the payment owed can be made online.

Do you clean inside windows?

We know some people hate doing this job! We’re happy to arrange a time to clean your inside windows, just get in touch and we can arrange a time when you’ll be home and available.

When should I get my gutters and fascias cleaned?

This is entirely up to you and we provide gutter cleaning and fascia cleaning services all year round. Typically if you have large trees near your property we would recommend that you wait until all the leaves have come down after autumn before getting your gutters cleaned. Many customers wait for the winter months to pass before getting their fascias cleaned, while others would like them sparkling ready for the Christmas decorations to go up.

Why are the windows still wet when you’ve cleaned?

Because the water is purified before reaching your windows, they will leave no deposits or residue behind – even in the baking sunshine!

Do you still clean in the rain?
Yes! Rainwater is surprisingly pure, so combined with our purified water cleaning method your windows will still be cleaned of the dust and dirt that has accumulated since the last clean. The only downside is for us in that we might a little bit soggy!

Do you offer commercial/business window cleaning?

Yes we do. If this is a service you require please don’t hesitate to contact us and discuss your requirements with us.
